Fair Play & Anti-Cheat

Grandmaster Chess uses statistical move-correlation analysis to compare players' moves against top chess engines across their game history, flagging suspicious patterns for review.

Signals include move-time consistency, accuracy relative to rating, and behavioral patterns such as tab-switching during timed games. Accounts with strong cheating signals are reviewed by the fair play team before any rating or account action is taken.

We also monitor for bot traffic, multi-accounting used to manipulate ratings, and sandbagging (intentionally losing to lower one's rating).
